What documents do I need for a Greece visa?

It is important to note that the type of visa you need to travel to Greece is called a Schengen visa. You must also ensure that all your documents are complete before going to apply. So, you can tick them off as I mention them.

• A valid Passport

The validity of your passport includes being issued to you within ten years and remaining valid for the next three months from the time of your travel. It must also have at least one blank page for the Greece visa stickers.

• Valid health insurance

Traveling to Greece requires that you own health insurance coverage. The country rule states that foreigners must come with either travel health insurance coverage or medical health insurance coverage.

• Medical health insurance coverage

Suppose you plan to stay for a long time in Greece, you need to provide the authorities with your valid medical insurance. You must also ensure that the insurance can function internationally.

• Travel insurance coverage

Travel health insurance coverage is for visitors staying for a short period in the country. Also, ensure your coverage can function outside your locality and protect you in Schengen countries. Your travel health insurance should be up to 29,234,917 Nigerian Naira.

• Certificate of fitness

This medical certification is not limited to only infectious diseases. You must also be cleared of medical conditions like addictions and mental illness.

You must take your passport according to Schengen’s dictates. It must not be later than six months old. Wear a neutral face with both eyes open and looking straight, 35x45mm in size in a clear background, your face up close to the camera without any covering like glasses.

• Proof of sufficient funds

Even if your Greece visa application form and other documents are complete and up to date, without having enough money in your account, you will be denied entry into the country. The money in your account will be calculated according to the days you will stay and must be submitted to the authorities.
