Currently, the amount you need to pay will be determined by the type of visa you are getting. Some visas – like F1 visas for students and academics cost $185 (₦143,290).

What is the current US visa fee in Nigeria?
As mentioned earlier, the cost of a US visa is determined by the type of visa you are applying for. There are two major types of US visas: non-immigrant and immigrant visas.
The US non-immigrant visas that Nigerians mostly apply for are further divided into several types: non-petition-based visas and petition-based visas.
A petition-based visa is where someone, such as an American resident, citizen, or employer, is sponsoring. But, if you are sponsoring yourself, your visa falls under the non-petition-based visa.

Besides the non-immigrant visas, there are also other fees that must be paid, such as:
- SEVIS Fee for F, M, and J visa participants (and their family members). The fee for nonimmigrant students with Form I-20, the SEVIS fee, is US$350.
- Blanket L Fee – Any first-time principal applicant who is covered under the blanket petition for L status have to pay a fee of $500.
US immigrant visa fees
The US immigrant visa allows you to immigrate permanently to the US, where you can live and work. These types of visas are quite more expensive than non-immigrant visas.
The fees for the petitions are as follows:
- Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative costs about 535.00 USD.
- Form I-600 or Form I-800, Orphan Immediate Relative Petition, costs about 775.00 USD
Processing fees vary according to the type of visa you are applying for and are as follows:
- In addition to the petition, Immediate Relative or Family Preference Immigration Applications fee is 325.00 USD.
- In addition to the petition, Employment-Based Immigration Applications fee is 345.00 USD.
- Other types of immigration applications, such as self-petitioning, cost $205.00 USD.
- A K visa for a US citizen’s fiancée or spouse costs $265.00 USD.

How much is US visa fees in Naira at Gtbank?

When paying your charge online, however, it is essential that you enter your payment code (also known as a UID) correctly.
